Dear Sister Persis. thinking that a few words from a strange Brother might be acceptable as you stated in your letter to me - which was very acceptable. I thought I would write a few words. although I am not much use to addressing letters to friends I never saw. But God being, m [loss] guide and suport [sic] I hope that I [loss] be spared. to have a better a gua[loss] [loss], and that I may be ever t[loss] to my [loss] and so live that it will be well with me in the future. write with my Brother when even he writes as it will be very acceptable to me excuse these few lines from your Brother [W A Royce?]
